K3 Capital Questions Answered

Everything you need to know about earning yield, managing vaults, and using the K3 Capital platform across multiple chains. You can also explore the company background or go straight to the main app.

What exactly is K3 Capital and what problem does it solve?

K3 Capital is a DeFi platform that aggregates yield opportunities across multiple blockchains, letting users supply assets to curated vaults without having to monitor each protocol manually. Managing positions across Euler, Morpho, IPOR, and Liquity on your own takes real time and expertise. K3 Capital wraps that complexity into a single interface. You deposit once, and the platform handles routing to the best available strategy. That's the core idea — removing friction without removing transparency.

Which blockchains does K3 Capital currently support?

At launch, K3 Capital operates on Ethereum mainnet and Plasma. Ethereum hosts the majority of vaults, including strategies built on Euler and IPOR. Plasma coverage is growing. The team behind K3 Capital has structured the architecture to make adding new EVM-compatible chains straightforward — so expect the list to expand. New network support is announced through official channels before going live.

How do the K3 Capital vaults generate yield?

Each vault routes deposited assets to one or more underlying lending or liquidity protocols. For example, the K3 Leveraged syrupUSDT Strategy on IPOR uses a looping mechanism to amplify the base yield from Maple Finance's syrupUSDT. The sBold vault by K3 Capital directs BOLD into Liquity v2's stability pool, earning liquidation gains. Upshift-powered vaults use algorithmic rebalancing across integrated pools. The specific mechanism is documented per vault inside the app.

Is K3 Capital safe to use? Has the protocol been audited?

Security is taken seriously. The K3 Capital platform integrates with established protocols — Euler, Morpho, Liquity — each of which has undergone independent smart contract audits. The vault wrapper contracts specific to K3 Capital have also been reviewed. No audit eliminates all risk, and DeFi in general carries smart contract and market risk. That said, the protocol does not hold custody of user funds in a centralized sense; assets remain in on-chain contracts visible to anyone. Users are encouraged to read the Terms of Service linked in the footer before depositing.

What tokens can I deposit into K3 Capital vaults?

The current vault list includes RSETH (Kelp restaked ETH), NUSD, BOLD, EUROP, USDT, and USDT0. Each is an ERC-20 token on its respective network. The mix covers stablecoins, synthetic euros, and liquid restaking tokens — so there are options whether you prefer dollar-pegged yield or ETH-denominated exposure. New assets are added as underlying protocol support grows. Check the Earn page for the live list.

How does the supply APY shown in the table get calculated?

The APY figures displayed in the K3 Capital interface are annualized rates derived from recent on-chain activity of the underlying protocol. For lending vaults like the USDT0 vault on Euler, the rate reflects actual borrow demand over recent blocks. Leveraged strategies compound the base rate with the spread from loop iterations. Rates change continuously. A 5.37% figure for USDT0 today may differ tomorrow — it reflects current utilization, not a fixed promise.

Can I withdraw my funds at any time, or are there lock-up periods?

Most vaults on K3 Capital allow withdrawals at any time, subject to underlying protocol liquidity. Standard Euler and Morpho vaults have no fixed lock-up. Leveraged or stability-pool strategies may have brief queue periods depending on liquidity conditions in the base protocol — this is noted in the vault details screen. The K3 Capital platform itself does not impose additional lock-up beyond what the underlying protocol requires. Always review vault-specific terms before depositing significant amounts.

Do I need to connect a wallet to browse vaults, or only to deposit?

Browsing is fully open. You can see all vaults, APYs, and total supply figures without connecting any wallet. A wallet connection is only required when you want to deposit, withdraw, or check your personal portfolio. The K3 Capital app supports standard EVM wallets. The Connect button in the top-right corner initiates the connection flow. Nothing is stored on K3 Capital's servers — interaction happens directly between your wallet and the on-chain contracts.

What is the difference between Upshift, Euler, IPOR, and Liquity vaults on K3 Capital?

These are the underlying protocols that actually hold and deploy the deposited assets. Upshift uses automated multi-pool strategies with algorithmic rebalancing. Euler is a modular lending protocol with configurable risk parameters per market. IPOR builds leveraged strategies on top of established money-market yields. Liquity v2 is a decentralized borrowing protocol where BOLD depositors in the stability pool earn ETH collateral from liquidations. K3 Capital acts as the interface layer connecting users to all four without requiring separate accounts on each.

Why does the EUROP vault show a negative APY sometimes?

A negative APY on the EUROP vault reflects a period where the cost of maintaining the position (fees, funding rates, or low demand) temporarily exceeds the income generated. This can happen in any strategy tied to a real-world-pegged asset when euro-denominated borrow demand falls. It does not mean you lose the principal — it means the yield turned slightly negative over the measured window. Monitor the vault or set alerts if you have a minimum acceptable return in mind.

How does K3 Capital handle gas fees when I deposit or withdraw?

Gas is paid by the user at the time of each transaction, same as any Ethereum dApp. K3 Capital does not add a protocol-level gas surcharge on top of the base network fee. On Ethereum mainnet, gas costs can be material for smaller deposits — it's worth checking current gas prices before transacting. Plasma network transactions are significantly cheaper. The platform shows estimated gas in the transaction confirmation step before you sign anything.

Does K3 Capital have a native token or governance mechanism?

As of the current version, K3 Capital does not have a publicly traded governance token. The vaults use existing ERC-20 assets as deposit and receipt tokens. This may change — the team behind K3 Capital has not ruled out a governance layer in future protocol versions. For now, the platform operates without tokenized governance. Follow official announcements for any updates on this front. See the company page for more on the team's approach.

Can I use K3 Capital if I am located in a restricted jurisdiction?

Certain jurisdictions are excluded from using the K3 Capital platform under its Terms of Service. Users are responsible for ensuring their access complies with local laws. The Terms of Service document is linked in the footer of every page. Geographic restrictions are enforced at the interface level; the underlying smart contracts on Ethereum are permissionless by nature, but the K3 Capital front-end applies these restrictions. When in doubt, consult a qualified legal professional in your jurisdiction.

What happens to my position if K3 Capital's front-end goes offline?

Your assets remain in the on-chain vault contracts and are not affected by front-end availability. If the K3 Capital interface is temporarily unavailable, you can still interact with the underlying contracts directly through Etherscan or a compatible DeFi interface. This is one reason the protocol publishes contract addresses publicly. The platform is a convenience layer, not a custodian. On-chain state persists regardless of what happens to any website.

Where can I get support if something goes wrong with my deposit?

The primary support channel is the email listed in the footer: [email protected]. Response times vary, but the team actively monitors incoming queries. For technical issues, having your transaction hash ready speeds up diagnosis considerably. Community channels may also have community members who can help with common questions. Do not share your seed phrase or private key with anyone, ever — legitimate K3 Capital support will never ask for it. More context about the organization is on the company page.
